That is, until he heard bumping and saw a Slytherin kid doubled over at the table. "Wh--" He started, concerned that the boy wasn't feeling alright?? Was his head alright???
Botros pulled a chair and sat by-- "Mr. Mordaunt!" Oh he knew this kid, he was the one who sleepwalked if Ab's memory didn't fail him AGAIN. "Are you alright, son? Ooooh is that a magnifying glass." The old man's face beamed, momentarily forgetting about the distressed boy.
He may have slammed his forehead harder than intended because as soon as he closed his eyes, he saw stars swirl before him. Ethan was too busy thinking about the possible spells he could use as he imagined the possible Runes he should inscribe in his magnifying glass, when he heard his name.
The prefect immediately raised his head off of the table and beamed at the man now sitting beside him.
"Professor!" Ethan beamed. The boy could not help but feel light around this man. It was a joy to be around him.
"...or should I say...good evening, Deputy Headmaster?" Ethan momentarily forgot about his gift and considered hugging the man.
"Oh, yes...I am okay, I just..." The prefect noticed the look on the man's face and this made him grin even more.
"...thinking of a spell." he continued as he got the magnifying glass off the table.
"Do you want to take a look at it?" he asked as he offered the gift to the Runes Master.
