Penelope stared at her crystal ball, trying to focus. She could see mist in her ball. Each time she thought she might be close to seeing images in the ball, her concentration was broken by other people talking, and she had to start again. After trying many times, images were starting to appear in the ball. Not all of the images were easy to see, and if she couldn't focus on any one image.
...Her concentration was broken when Professor Cassie said that they should finish up their scrying. The images in the crystal ball disappeared and the ball became clear. Penelope was feeling dizzy and her vision was a little fuzzy and dark. Opening her inner eye seemed to be affecting her external eye. She couldn't write anything while she was still feeling like this. Penelope tried to have some more tea, but she ended up spilling the tea everywhere. Putting her head down on the table (which probably wasn't the best choice after spilling her tea), Penelope closed her eyes and hoped that she would come back to a conscious state before class ended.
