The school year had not begun until Toby had paid Professor Botros his annual start-of-term visit. He arrived at the little waiting area outside the professor's office (one of the most relaxing places in the school, though he'd never really stopped for long enough to appreciate this) and knocked on the door in the same way manner as usual.

Toby decided not to sit, preferring instead to stand where he was and have another look at the trophy board thing, just to look at Ella's name on there. He could almost pretend like she was still here, y'know? Almost. Kinda. Ahem. Oh man, and Alice Fischer was on there too. Toby would be lying if he didn't admit to fanboying over Alice a liiiiiiiiiittle bit; she played for his favourite team now and HE could say he'd played on the same PITCH with her. Yup. Fanboy.
