The Prefect didn't dare blink. Her eyes might be drying, but she kept her gaze on the ball. Firm and THERE. Beverly wanted a dragon to show up. More specifically, her RIDING a dragon. Sure, dragons were untamed creatures and riding one would be like offering herself as dinner, BUT one could never lose hope. There would come a time when she would befriend a dragon. Yes.
