Checking his sundial watch one last time, he took a few dramatic steps away from his desk and held both of his arms up. "Alright, if you all could please wrap up your personal conversations in the next 3 seconds," he announced. "It's time to begin."

He gave his wand a firm flick towards the door to shut it and then turned his gaze towards the students seated in the semi-circle formation.

"Welcome to Astronomy. Terribly sorry about the delay. I will have a word with the house elves to make sure this mix up does not happen again," he began. "For those of you who do not know me, I am Professor Flamsteed, but you may call me Professor Airey if it suits you better, but never sir." Just to get all of that out of the way. "The first thing I would like you to do is to make your name appear on these name tags," he instructed with a flick of his wand to make some very special name tags appear on each student's desk. "All you need to do is give it a firm tap with your wand and speak your name loud and clearly. The name will appear in gold lettering exactly as you say it."

And there was NO way that the spell could go wrong - no blowing up the name tag or anything of that sort.

"Please place it on your robes when you are done. And while you do that, I want to think over the following - what does the term astronomy mean to you and why do we study it. Besides it being a required course for first through fifth years that is. When you have your answer please raise your hand and share it with the rest of the class."

Questions he had not used to start a lesson for in quite a while now, but fitting given the...theme of the term.

Gwen was happy he remembered her name. She looked at the cover of the book. She didn't know a lot of people that read comic books. There was that one boy that was in one of her muggle classes, but she never really talked to him. She also thought it was more of a kid thing. "Cool."

She would've talked to him more because she wanted to know more...but it looked like it was time for the lesson to start. Gwen gave him one last little smile and wave and went to grab a desk. She sat quietly listening to his little spiel. Oooo first names were definitely better. Professor Airey it was for the rest of her time here then.

Gwen looked down at the name tag. NASA? Wasn't that one of the muggle space agencies? She thought it was. She looked back up at Professor Airey and nodded. She pulled out her wand and tapped that badge while she said "Gwen." Clear as day and BAM! There it was on the name tag. Awesome.

She quickly fastened it to the front of her robes. Gwen chewed on her bottom lip while she thought of Professor Airey's question. She raised her hand high after a few moments. "Well, astronomy is the study of the stars and planets and stuff. We study it so we can learn more about space and what else is out there." She smiled, quite proud of her answer.
