Why was there a crying boy by his office's door on the first official day of his new job, again?

Whut?

Andrew's eyebrows shot up in confusion. Did the Gryffindor say what Andy just heard? Was the boy in--. Oooops. And there the man thought that the former Herbology Professor was his favorite professor for EDUCATIONAL purposes. Apparently not. Wasn't she like married and had kids or something? Did the boy here know? The herbologist certainly wasn't going to ask nor be the one to inform the kid. Instead he opened his mouth to say something, anything! ".........." Nope. Nothing. Walton had no idea how to deal with this. No actually he had an idea, he did not want to deal with this. He wanted to hand this entire matter to someone who could do the exact right thing.

But since no one was here and Andrew couldn't count on the possibility of anyone venturing here and dealing with this. Though, if Airey would just appear out of thin air and decide to collect his student, Andrew would be over the moon.

Unfortunately for the boy, Walton was gonna deal with it. So he cleared his throat, and stepped closer to the boy. "I only have a few words for you, kid," Was the boy ready to receive the wisdom? "Get over it. This surely isn't the first and won't be the last time you're going to be sad," Mmkay? Go eat candy or something.

Zander suddenly perked up a little, he had a few words? Like 'Bentley isn't really permanently gone, she's only just on a temporary vacation and will be back to make it in time for the wedding and to be your Professor and to be around you always and forever'? That was a few words, right? RIGHT? With widened eyes, the Gryffindor leaned forward to hear the beautiful words about Beautiful Bentley that this Temporary Professor Stranger was about to reveal. HA LUX WAS WRONG AFTERALL!!

Get over it?

Get. Over. It?!?! IT?!?!?!!!!!

Welp. There came the sad eyes again. And nope, nope. Nuh-uh. He was not about to go all wibbly. Nope. His eyes weren't watery. Just some dust. Noooope. "B-b-but I've already tried to get over it before," he was getting kind of whiney now. But he had a reason!! It wasn't FAIR IT WASN'T FAIR AT ALL! He had really tried getting over Beautiful Bentley's Beautiful face. Like that one time where he avoided her for HALF of the term. Or when he didn't say A SINGLE WORD in her lesson. That took guts. Everyone kept on asking him if he was okay and HE WASN'T OKAY but he pretended because he was trying! He really was trying.

But it didn't work, couldn't Temporary Professor Stranger understand!? "Haven't YOU ever been in love before?" ....... Zander's eyes narrowed at that as he waited for a response. Man. He was all over the place today. First off he was DEVASTATED about Beautiful Bentley not being at the door and now Temporary Professor Stranger was saying to get over her and he couldn't get over her! "Because you can't just get over it. I don't know how. I don't even think it's physically possible. Or emotionally. Or at all."
