Marigold was falling asleep. Not literally, because she was focusing very hard on not falling asleep, but she was definitely falling into a stupor. She muted her yawn with a hand, then blinked several times. She was sleepy.
As sleepy as she was, though, she kept at her deep breathing and clearing the mind, letting the noise of the classroom fade away. And eventually, it paid off. She almost broke her focus when a foggy haze slowly started setting on her crystal ball, but instead focused to see if anything was appearing in it. |
