Penelope was nervous about coming to Professor Flamsteed's office because, well, astronomy lessons usually ended in her being hurt or crying. She was hoping that this term would be better, but she had a feeling that this would not be the case.
On a more positive subject, Penelope had been trying wheat-free baking. Her latest batch of cookies was in a purple tin with a red bow tied around it. Cookie tin in hand, Penelope knocked on the door.
She was not going to sit down, as there was still glitter everywhere. Glitter was one of those things that you could never get rid of, no matter how hard you tried. Sine last term, she had learned how useful lint rollers were, and she had brought several lint rollers with her to Hogwarts. Lint rollers were great for when animals left fur all over you. Standing outside the office holding the tin of cookies, Penelope reached into her pocket and rubbed a smooth stone. The stone fit perfectly in Penelope's palm, and she had started using it to help her think. Running her thumb over the stone, Penelope wondered what the astronomy professor could have possibly come up with for the lessons this term. Maybe there would be an activity that didn't involve things that she was scared of. Knowing professor Flamsteed, it was impossible to predict anything in his lessons. Somehow, Penelope still liked Professor Flamsteed after everything that had happened to her in astronomy class. |
