Funny how Truebridge mentioned NOTHING about this when they discussed the job.
Had he seen it in the contract, he'd have given more thought into it or tried to gain some patience somehow.
He LIKED this question. Those were his favorite words that came out of Alexa's lips for today and probably the most liked words she was ever going to say. "No one can set a foot inside without knowing a password only I know," He smiled sweetly at her which was an alarming smile. "I'm glad you asked," he said bringing his hand together and entwining his fingers while leaning closer to his desk. Maybe she'd spread the word so people won't bother and have this conversation with him.
"I guess I don't have to answer the second question now," because it wasn't likely that anyone would be able to figure out the password. It was a combination of personal things.
However, as much as he was looking forwards to the end of this meeting and for his books to be put and organized in their rightful place rather than the armchair, he couldn't help not feel curious now. "May I ask you why do you show huge interest in the .... flesh eaters, Miss Cambridge?" It would be enlightening to know. Well, he hoped it would.
There was no helping the deadpan expression that crept onto the Gryffindors face. It contrasted greatly against the smile he now displayed. Passwords. What was with people and bloody passwords??? Reckon now she'd have to blow a frickin' hole through the side of the Greenhouse or something. So unnecessary and all because the man wanted to keep the flesh eaters to himself. A truly selfish man if she'd ever seen one.
Should she apologize beforehand? Not at all. That would give away her position on the matter. Instead she simply nodded and was set to ease out of the chair but stopped at his question.
Lex raised a curious brow and thought to question why it mattered to him but figured he'd answered her questions so...she could humour him.
"Because they're dangerous and deadly." She said with a casual, unperturbed shrug.
"I like dangerous and deadly things and the kinds of things dangerous and deadly things can do to others and objects around them in their environment. My kneazle's dangerous, the curses I like are dangerous and deadly and I fancy myself the same on some accounts." She trusted that answered his question, yes? If he was expecting some deep and undying love of plants he could think again. It was the things these plants could do that others couldn't.
