She needed to loosen up a little. "Yeah - fresh!" he nodded, petting kneazle's head as she took him in her arms. "It works but you need to act by it, you know?" he tried to explain - but he knew he would fail horribly in giving Maddie the LOGICAL reasoning she wanted. Could she be smart and just read between the lines? He didn't wanted to out right say it that she needed to loosen up and not be so uptight.
When she made that little remark, Noel grinned and flinched with exaggeration "Ouch!"
Noel was SO trying to get a rise out of her, but she was keeping herself in check. Oh yes! He delighted by the fact that he had the WHOLE YEAR to do this. He walked forward, before asking her: "So what kind of adventure are you looking for?" "Sure I will." It was interesting, his confidence in his words. Maddie figured that the odds were in his favor considering she was twelve and had her entire life ahead of her. Would she ever do something without thinking it out first? Maybe. Like if she was in a life-or-death situation that called for that sort of thing. She couldn't see it happening anytime soon, though. "I need to act FRESH?" New. Healthy in appearance. Not faded or impaired. He wanted her to be different. Ouch, Noel. There was a visible chink in her armor, albeit a small one and only seen if he was looking her in the eye. She didn't know what to make of this at all. "Whatever you say." Her volume had lowered considerably and she nuzzled Zeus' head before following along down the corridor. She'd need to think about this one. "Drama queen." The brunette ROLLED her eyes, fighting a smile. It was true, he was one. She s'posed it wasn't ALL bad, though. Entertaining was better than boring. "I was looking for a ghost. I have some questions about the groundskeepers." And the ghosts had been around the longest so they'd know most, yeah? "Why, did you have something in mind?"
