She obviously did not like his answer which wasn't something Andrew cared about actually. But for the sake of trying to be a fair and reasonable professor he took a deep breath preparing himself to explain his reasoning. Something he was absolutely sure he did not have to do but was going to give it a go and see if the Head Girl would appreciate or at least try to get.

"If you claim to be the deserving person you are, you will know very well that dealing with dangerous plants will require far more than your toes, fingers and vital organs," he said leaning against his desk and crossing his arms across his chest. That was first!

Another breath. "I am sure that your former Head of House was sure of your skill and abilities to have granted you access," he started. "And I'm not here to deny anything. But as a professional.." That was him! hint. hint! ".. I can't just come and depend on the decisions of the Professor who was in my place," Did that make any sense to her? "I have no idea why you're taking it as an insult that I want to see proof. This is a normal procedure I will be taking with anyone who wants access to the dangerous greenhouses," Which now he was going to make sure were locked up sufficiently and well. "And I assure you it won't need six years," Was she implying he was SLOW? HMM?
