Okay, so...she wasn't as bad as the other one. The blond Zahra one....but she was still a GIRL....and....Uh, he could NOT with girls.
Even though...she'd....uh, slept in his bed.....and.....forced him to.....uh, crawl out of....uh, his window....
...AND made him have to answer some really uncomfortable questions with Gage and Martina. AND RUBY....who always asked ALL the questions. There was frustration and he just didn't know what to do when it came to this one in particular. He had half a mind to just.........be friends with her....but the prospect freaked him out so much, he nearly fainted....again.
........AND NO. She was NOT looking at that book. Gabe couldn't even deal. NOT DEALING. THIS WAS HIM NOT DEALING.
With a still flushed face, he attempted a casual shrug. Totally failed...but at least he tried. "Nothing." Clara was simply eyeing him. LOTS OF EYEING.
..... And she certainly wasn't buying that 'nothing'. Who says 'nothing' when talking about a book. Did he think she was stupid? And the casual shrug that looked VERY stiff. Nice. Try. Gabriel. The redhead squinted again, trying to get a look at it, but it was on the other side of him and she wasn't moving any closer to him to see it.
She didn't want to scare him away ... again, and it wasn't really worth the fuss.
Clara adjusted her position slowly so that she was leaning against a wall and crossed her legs. If they weren't going to talk about that mystery book, they could talk about his current book. They would talk about his current book."What are you reading now then? That's not 'nothing,' right?" He wouldn't really pick books that meant nothing, would he? What would the point of that be?
While she waited for him to answer, she reopned her own book, silently flipping the pages until she found her place again. I'm waaaaiiiiiitttttiiiiiiing. |
