Hallie continued looking him up and down, studying him and certain he was studying her too on some level. Her right eyebrow arched even higher than before and she smiled wide in response to him kissing her fingers. She'd always been fond of the gesture, and thus far only Cutty had ever gotten it right on the first try. Of course she'd trained Casper to do it too, but he always seemed to be silently making fun of her when he followed her orders. Although this new person was taking his sweet time with it.. But Hal had no complaints, yet.
She nodded three times again, agreeing that her name was indeed very lovely. "Ooh, Pheonix, huh? We're both named after birds!" She blurted out quicker and more excitedly than she'd intended.
Ooooh so she liked music THAT much. Good. That made Phoenix happy. It was always awesome to find a proper music lover, someone who could appreciate the beauty of music in pretty much anything...
"Same, sometimes I write songs purely because I can't find the right one for my mood." Also because it was one of only three things he was particularly good at. But she didn't need to know that.
And yes, he could feel her eyes on her, but he didn't mind. People tended to look at him a lot. It was the sheer beauty. They just couldn't tear their eyes away. He was gorgeous, obviously. That, and the hair. Most people he met wanted to touch it... which he was one hundred percent okay with. In fact, he was okay with any kind of affection really. He craved it. He was needy like that.
Ahh, so a halcyon was a bird?
"Awesome... it means we're free spirits, you know." The bird thing.
"We can fly over anything and come out alright on the other side." And he could rise from ashes if he got caught in the crossfire, of course.
"I bet you've got a pretty singing voice too?" She'd been able to hold a tune whilst humming, so why not sing? Birds sang...
