But the main thing was that Marigold had an awkward way to get to the train, and a friend had rescued her. She would be forever in Z's debt. (Except hopefully not. She didn't know what to do with that situation).
She looked into a couple compartments, then passed over them as she didn't recognize any of the people in them. She caught a quick look of herself in a reflection in a compartment door, and was shocked. She didn't look awkward. This was new. After packing his and Ruby's luggage away,
Gabriel had chosen NOT to wait on his sister. Yes, this was new territory and he was an anxious mess but Gabe wasn't chancing another run in with the blond-headed girl; whatever her name was...And if she was a teaser of the other
friends Ruby had made, he wanted to be well out of the way before they descended. Whoever
they happened to be.
Pulling his hood up around his face, Gabriel lurked...looking for an empty compartment. Any one would do...as long as he could pull the shade and hide in it. Maybe he'd find Ceo, Jere, or Hugh....They'd be stronger in numbers, right? That could possibly stave off the girls...that seemed to creep up on him out of nowhere. Gabe's hands trembled with nervousness...as he tried to blend in. NOT something that would be labeled a strong suit. In fact, as he was walking, he stumbled into a girl that had been staring at a compartment door, failing to stop and apologize. It was crowded...and that was bound to happen....He didn't need to panic about it. He hadn't...actually touched her...
Nope...He just kept walking....
