Yes, so he was going to have use a lot of caps until his hair grew out. Seeing Cassie come over too he reassured her with an appreciative smile. "I'm okay, soar in places and I’ve got a few wounds that are still healing, but it’s nothing that a few weeks rest won't cure." Waving Cassie to come closer Leo said "And thank you so much for keeping an eye on the library for me and for the flowers in my office." She watched Javy hug Leo and held her breath a bit that he wasn't still hurt, though she figured Cece would have been keeping an eye on him. Speaking of the healer she turned and gave her a wave. "You did such an ah-mazing job taking care of them this term." She knew that already though, she was sure. Her green eyes moving back to the two hugging men she smiled a bit, though it only lasted a second before she dramatically gasped with his words of wounds still. "Oh goodness, Javy be careful hugging him. Do you need anything Leo? If you do just let me know." She knew she was suppose to be clear at the other end of the table, but she'd surely help if she needed. Though he had everything he needed in front of him, so she probably didn't need to help.
Her smile coming back, "Well summer is almost here so you can rest soon enough." Seeing him motion her closer she cautiously stepped towards the Librarian. Her happy smile beamed as she snapped happily, "Oh you are soooo welcome, but I didn't do it alone. Nessa helped we were co helpers! Plus the students were soooo good at putting things away." Amazing students in all their help. She leaned up giving the man a gentle and quick hug. "Well I'm soooo glad you are alright and back on your feet." Adjusting back from the quick hug she thought maybe she should leave him be since he'd probably be overwhelmed with people wanting to know how he was. SPOILER!!: Kitten drama people Quote:

Airey only had enough time to offer the Slytherin a wave before she was making her way back to her own house table. On the one hand, it meant that there was no emergency. So that was good, he supposed. On the other hand his Gryffindor curiosity had been tickled and now he wanted to know what she had been intending to say.
Which is why he then turned his attention towards the Headmistress hoping to see some movement towards speech making - so he could go down and see what Miss Adams had wanted - and instead spotted Mr. Hirase.
And a very disgruntled looking Cecelia. Which meant that his gaze was going to move faaaaaaaaaar away from that end of the table.
He did, however, have a smug look plastered across his face. Was Mr. Hirase aware that the astronomer now had his one of a kind Star Trek blanket back? Heh.
Meanwhile he, Airey Flamsteed, still had the young man's hat because he lacked the manners to have it returned to him. HEH. Score another point for the astronut.
"Welcome," the astronomer beamed back. "Now we can sing it together properly on a camping trip." You know what the male staff should do sometime? Some manly rugged bonding. He had become rather fond of campfires and wizarding roughing in since the excursion to Peru - although he was mainly interested in it for the schmoes - but it could be rather fun. Besides, he (Airey Flamsteed) really needed to break out of his shell more...especially with one of his few allies on staff leaving this term.
Although, given what he had witnessed this term between Javy and Piers...he was reconsidering this thought and seriously so.
"Actually, it is all spic and span once again. Miss Cambridge organized a little Cleaning Brigade. Although I do suspect there may be some glitter stuck in some of the cracks here and there despite students going over every inch of the place with lint rollers."
You know how the Divination professor was saying words? Words that were meant to be a casual and borderline friendly conversation between the two of them? Yeah, well, NONE of those words were heard by the astronomer as two BEASTS popped their heads out of her bag. Two BEASTS with sharp CLAWS and FANGS and BEADY EYES THAT BORE INTO HIS SOUL.
He didn't squeal or shriek this time - he was getting better about that - but he did suddenly leap side ways, knock his chair into Javy's, semi-crawl across the empty chair between himself and the Runes professor, and then end up halfway sitting on Old Man River's lap. What can we say, he HAD dressed up as Santa before. The man clearly just had one of those laps meant to be sat on. Just probably not by a grown 6'1" lanky Astronomy professor. "WHY DO YOU HAVE FELINES AT THE TABLE?!" he sneered as he pointed dramatically at the BEASTS and his chin began to wobble ever so slightly.
MEDEA! DO SOMETHING! please? Quote:

Although, now she was beginning to remember why she didn't particularly enjoy her seventh year of schooling. Merlin knew she was studying up on the chorts as if she were a NEWT student cramming for their exams. In fact, oh yes, she brought her studying to the staff table. Book in front of her. Eyes on the words. READ ALL THE THINGS!
And notice...nothing else. Except... KITTIES???
Gaze snapping to her distressed boyfriend Airey, she...oh. Oh, what was he wearing? Was he wearing that this WHOLE time?
More importantly, she looked to where he was pointing. Just to the side of her. "AWWWWWW!" Ohmygaarsh, lookit those little kitty faces. And the BOWTIES?? "Oh my goooooosh, how cuuuute!" So...distracted. Quote:

Botros didn't miss the rock thing. Or the fish tank. Or any other odd tools his memory had failed to remember the Star Man used to put on top of the empty chair between them. It wasn't out of annoyance (Botros didn't get annoyed with anyone other than viciously rude kids) but of comfort, because now he could put the two chairs together and doze off comfortably up until the speech.
He laughed at the Astronomer's flustered fix-line. "It's alright. I do recognize the rhythm." He could never remember where he'd heard it or what the lyrics were if his life depended on it, though. Leo, his little young friend got twinkly looks from aaaaall the way across the table. He probably wouldn't notice but Ab wasn't concerned about that, he was just glad the man could join and chitchat.
When the line of his vision followed down the rest of the people occupying the table, Botros saw the headmistress brought a boy with her. Ab craned his neck, trying to see if this was her kid (??) but no, he was wearing a Gryffindor uniform and she seemed to be fuming. Annie was such a fussy, lovely lady, he thought. He recognized the boy from his classes finally, quite the loud and 'straightforward' one he was. 0_0
Out of the blue, Botros had an overgrown baby in his lap. In a swimsuit, no less.
The old man didn't know what to do except pat Flamsteed's back reassuringly, like you do to a wailing child. "It's.. it's okay.." Ab directed his speech to the Divination lady. "Cassiopeia dear, please make sure the pets don't get loose. Especially under the table." Cats clinging to their feet underneath would be terrifying for the obviously-phobic Star Man. Although... now that Ab mentioned it... yeah, probably shouldn't have mentioned it.
Yes, Medea, do something. Pat pat pat pat. O_o
Why was the man screaming? She looked to the floor where her purse was sitting and her fur babies were just looking around. "Airey calm down. They aren't hurting anything. I never leave without them." Had he not noticed her fashionable kitten purse before? She took it everywhere and her kittens were the most well behaved cats. They had to be, she would know if they weren't. "I've had no signs of them causing any issues, they are going to just sit in their purse and watch the feast." She beamed encouragingly towards the man, but her giggles were getting the best of her. Did he really just jump onto Ab's lap just because of two kittens? Oh this was so funny her hand went to her mouth as her giggles turned into belly laughter.
Looking towards Medea she beamed at her purse and pulled Airey out handing him over to the Dark Art professor. "This is Airey and that is Gemini. They are the sweetest two kitten. They love to dress for the occasion." Hence their little red bow ties. She glanced at the astronomy professor and leaned closer to Medea. "Is he always this.. umm interesting?" She had to ask, it could be fun, but scared of kittens was a first for Cassie to see.
Hearing Ab's voice she smiled at the older man. She had to giggle again, [b] "Oh Abraham don't worry, I haven't seen them causing any issues so we should be good. They love their little purse adventures." She patted Gemini's head. Her gift helped keep them in line so she was very confident they wouldn't cause any trouble. SPOILER!!: Bentley Quote:

In observing the room and taking it all in, she caught her goof friends eye. Her first friend on staff, and one she would sorely miss. "Thank you," she replied warmly, her smile growing somewhat. "But in fairness, we've always had a fierce lot, they've just managed to come together and pushed themselves to the limit this term. I'm still astounded by their efforts." Truly remarkable group they were, a well deserved win.
It had hardly occurred to her that Airey had stiffened under her touch, she was too busy enjoying herself and the atmosphere to care about Airey's little quirks, and she did at least go over her sleeves with a lint roller in anticipation of a hug of sorts. "You know, you're right... it couldn't have been any better." Well, as far as Hogwarts standards were concerned, but the freaky weather thing was certainly a dampener on the year - in a literal sense. She liked snow, but she wasn't fond of ice ages. Turning slightly behind him, so she could see his face properly, Seren considered him a moment. The common room? "Not yet, I was thinking of popping in tonight or tomorrow morning... why?" Yes, Airey, why? He hadn't pranked her, had he?
The polite congratulations were to be expected, and she was actually looking forward to hearing them from Cece, so she was understandably taken aback as the Healer became distracted.
She looked to see what her concerns were, and as a result saw Annie and Kevin at the table. When had they gotten there? Seren smiled brightly, offering both a small wave. "... they did exceptionally well," she concluded for Cece. "Your Snakes are to be commended though, of course, they provided us with brilliant competition."
Sing along were always nice, it was something she regretted not doing more often during her time here... but alas. "Thank you, it's been a remarkable year.. I'm fortunate to have worked with this lot, they're very motivated." And it was all their doing, not hers, she did little to secure them the House Cup, it was something the student body achieved all on their own - perhaps with a little guidance.
The bright and cheerful voice from over her shoulder could not be mistaken, and so pushing away from the table slightly, she beamed at her newer colleague. "Cassie, thank you," she started, hoping this wouldn't set tears into motion. She promised no crying until toward the end of the feast, then and only then could she let it out. "I'm so glad we've had the opportunity to meet, and it's been a pleasure working with you this year, you're presence in the castle has been most warming." And gosh, if she kept talking tears really would come. Standing from her seat, she enveloped the woman in her arms, giving her a little squeeze. "Look after them all for me, okay?" she whispered in the blonde's ear. Staff and students alike.
She needed more water, but the risk of fulfilling this desire meant there would be necessary toilet breaks, and there wasn't a moment of this feast she wanted to miss. As a result, she took smaller sips before pushing the glass goblet away. Leo's voice pulled her out of her reverie. "Thank you Leo," she beamed brightly, "they really did, they're such a strong and motivated group, I couldn't be prouder of their efforts." Ravenclaw had had their moments, in time they would settle in and find the drive. Some new blood could be the key. "And how are you doing? You've had an interesting term to say the least."
Her smile grew as Seren said she such nice things. "I've soooo enjoyed my term. Even with the cold it was amazing to get to know everyone. I'm very excited to see what next term will bring." She was always one to enjoy the next exciting thing and what was more exciting than the thought of a new term in a few months. Hugging the herbology professor she nodded. "Of course, of course. We will all look after each other. I hope you keep in touch and have wonderful adventures." She beamed happily knowing the woman must have big plans.
