Fireplaces were Amelia's best friend right now. Other than well, people, all things that had heat...and the slightly fleeting idea that one day she'd be able to get outside and breathe fresh air...fresh not freezing cold air that is.

Don't spill she thought as she lifted her eyes from the teapot full of steaming water. It was nice, and warm, and there was someone sitting in the chair by the fire.

That was a smart girl. Smart girls deserved cookies...piping hot fresh out of the oven cookies...which she had in a little metal lunchbox sitting in her bag. "Hey, you want some tea?" She offered with a smile over to the girl as she made her way to another one of the chairs.

Food and fires would always go well together. Especially outside in the summertime with fireworks and other magical memories to accompany them.
