New friend Ethan was here, and Toby grinned at the boy as he sat beside him, giving a nod of agreement to the statement about the cold. He'd have attempted to engage him in a further discussion, but it never seemed smart to try and make conversation at the start of a lesson. Tobias had a way of getting carried away when he spoke. Still, Sophie got a smile all of her own when she came to sit behind him, and a curious look directed at the different coloured scarves. But soon enough, Charms was happening.

Charms and magical items? Oh no, Toby hadn't actually been utilising magic at all to help stay warm. Now Fuller actually mentioned it, that seemed like the obvious thing to do, but not without reason had Toby been voted as one of the students most likely to live without magic.

Even though he didn't have an answer, the fidgety Toby raised his hand anyway, figuring if he tried to answer, it heightened his chances of staying focused on the lesson.
