Oh good, she had been speaking to him. He didn't look like a weirdo that just talked to random people. Although he did technically speak to a lot of people he didn't know, it was a necessity to settling in and making friends. He generally didn't talk to people when he was waiting in line at a coffee shop though. Y'know, unless he knew them or was going there with them. Neither of which applied in this circumstance. Still, Dmitry supposed he might as well talk to the woman if only to pass the time.

"They taste fine with coffee, I mean they're better with tea obviously but right now I need more of a caffeine kick than tea will give me," he explained, shrugging slightly. Besides it wasn't like he dunked the scone into the coffee. You could eat them with anything really.
