Oh, nope. No. Breathing. Definitely not dead. Drugged then? Possibly? Because who slept at work? He sort of glanced around as if to check there wasn't some kind of prank being played on him in that moment, and then looked at the woman again. Eliora right? He mentally reminded himself and then after a few moments decided that she must be asleep. So rather than there being a security breach where an employee was dead or drugged or bespelled... she was simply slacking off for reasons that he wasn't about to pry into. Though Aron might not be exactly pleased about it, if he happened to catch her at it.

But it was kinda chilly in here... rather than hang his coat up, Rusty instead gently draped it over her and then quietly went into the kitchen and made himself a couple of sandwiches. Honestly he was a pro at doing this stuff quietly too, because Lola was the sort to wake up at the SLIGHTEST noise, so he'd had to learn how to manage around that.

It was an unwritten rule that she could sleep anywhere she was given the chance to, and if you asked her she would say it was a talent. Standing up, mid conversation, in the bathroom whilst on a date, at the dinner table, on a bus, on any form of transport. Sleep may as well have been her job. However, sleeping on the job was something she didn't go out of her way today to do. Aside from today. Today...she was running on coffee and less than two hours of sleep. Whoever gave children sicknesses were the lowest of the low.

Especially sicknesses that involved sticky eyes and snotty noses. Luckily, Briar was too much of a big girl to want to sleep in Eli's bed when she was sick and hadn't been able to pass it on to her mother. Yet.

The extra layer was recognised and she shifted a little under it, stretching her fingers out just to tug it a little higher.

It didn't smell like her bed though.......

Sure, any other time she'd have just assumed she was playing sleepover at a 'friends', but nope. She was in mummy mode after being up so many times to de-snot the kid and give her honey to coat her sore throat. This was unusual. And the unusuality of it forced her to break sleep and peek.

............... Shoot.

Well it would be a blessing to go back to sleep and the pretend reality that was being at home, or...anywhere that wasn't here. Eliora propped her head up on her hand, elbow on the sofa and she rubbed her eyes gently. "Not even a first date and you get to be the first thing I see when I wake up. Lucky you."

Was this layer of thing over her his too?

Or was someone else aware of her sleeping habits?
