The young girl twirled some hair around her finger and kept her eyes on the boy, letting him know she was interested in whatever it was he was saying. Oh. More wizards in muggle culture things. Yes that. She nodded. "It's all very strange to me. Wizarding clothing in general is strange. I don't like it much." Growing up with it didn't help very much. Being trapped in it only made her distaste grow.
She grinned some more. So much grinning. Her cheeks might be red too. "That's fine by me!" She wasn't too picky so long as people didn't use her nicknames in mean and hurtful ways. Not that she could really see anyone doing that or a way for people to do that. "I'm so jealous. Is it cold down there too? I gets cold up in the towers sometimes. But I think that might be because it's winter." Spring would probably be different. Heat rises after all. "The view is really nice, sure. But.. after a while you sort of get use to it and stop appreciating it. You know? It's still kind of nice I guess." And she had a reaaaaaally great roommate.
"Is Astronomy your favorite?"
He nodded. Yes, a governess was like a teacher. He raised his eyebrows when he heard that she had not wanted to be at Hogwarts. Wow. That was the first time he had heard anyone say that about the school. Most people had told him that they had always wanted to go here. He nodded along with her as he payed attention. "
Well, I'm glad that you're here... And enjoying it now," he said with a shy grin. He was really glad that she was here; otherwise, he wouldn't have gotten to meet such a nice lovely person.
And he was nodding in agreement with the pretty girl again. Wizarding clothes were bizarre. "
I can definitely agree with you there. It's funny being dressed in it all the time. I feel as if I should be going to a Halloween party or something," he added, chuckling. Before his parents had dropped him off on the station, they took a couple of photos of him dressed in his robes at the muggle hotel that they were staying at. That had been a very odd afternoon. "
Muggle clothing is much more practical."
He gave her a quick thumbs up. "
Awesome!" He nodded his head when they spoke about common rooms. Oh yes, it could get quite cold down in his common room. "
It gets a little bit chilly but luckily the fireplace is always well attended too. Yeah, its a pretty bad winter. Some people have told me that they don't remember ever having a winter this cold before," he said. That wasn't a really reassuring thought to the boy who loved the weather back at home in Melbourne. Warm, long lazy summer days spent on the beaches were the way to spend a nice day during this time of year. Well- that was the way in the southern hemisphere- not the northern one. He kept watching her and grinned.

It's one of my favourites. The Professor's awesome. It's tied with Potions and Charms," he said as he quickly glanced around the room, making sure that Cosgrach or Piers weren't there. Cause if they heard that Astronomy was his favourite then they probably would be quite upset with him. "
I like most of the classes here except I don't really understand Arithmancy too much." Arithmancy was hard. The numbers were just weird and didn't make much sense. "
