A GIRL. And oooh, not just any girl, but the girl who he had held hands with in History of Magic. That was such an embarrassing time, he tried to block it out mostly. Except that was kind of hard to do when the girl plopped down right next to him!
"Ha, I, uh, I don't really know..." What was she talking about? Oh right, the tapestry. Then the girl spoke again and Zander turned his attention right back to her. Leah. That was a nice name. A nice name that happened to remind him of that time they held hands and he didn't even know her name. Whoops. Well at least he knew now, and that's what counts in the end right? "Hi Leah, I-I'm Zander," he smiled warmly. So... Does he shake her hand. Or just keep smiling or... Talking to girls was hard. "Sorry about History the other day..." Did the hand holding make her uncomfortable too? Welp, he didn't really have anything to apologize for... Except for reaching back for her hand at the end of the lesson... But he figured he'd apologize anyways. Because some people are weird about hand holding and stuff
Trolls. The longer Leah stared at the tapestry, the grosser it got, and they did not seem happy about her laughing at them just now. So she turned her attention to the boy instead. Zander.. she had heard that name before. Meh, probably during classes.
"Yo, Zander." she smiled back. Then the boy spoke again. History? What happened at HoM that day again? They were acting, as muggles, and there was a dragon, and they got hit by a memory charm.. No, Leah could not remember anything that required Zander to apologize. She shrugged, and did not ask further.
"You are a Gryffindor, right? How come I've never seen you last year?" the second year asked. She was quite separated from the other part of the school in her first year yes, and maybe that was why she did not meet Zander before.
