Merlin's BEARD it was cold! This actually helped where Maddison was concerned as she'd been quite sleepy on the walk here and was now more alert and awake than she wanted to be. She longed for her cozy bed but as she was already at the classroom door , she might as well make the best of it.
The first year smoothed her uniform and her hair, fighting back the urge to wrap her arms protectively around herself and letting on the cold was an issue for her. She was TOUGH, mhm. She could HANDLE this. YUP. And so she entered the room, noting the changes AND the woman in charge. "Hello Professor." Polite smile given, the twelve year old went and found a good place to stand.
