The minister himself used dear, see Gavin. Ainsley loved using terms of endearment. It made people feel appreciated and welcomed. Gavin would just have to learn to love it because she had no intentions of holding her love back for anyone.

Of course she often worried about those kind of things with several people. It came with her job. Ainsley realizing once more that Mr. Kettleburn was a person just like her, she visibly relaxed.
