Dates with Bay!? Eugh. Bay was Zander's first real friend and it was crazy weird knowing that he and Lux went on... dates and such. Weird. See, Zander may be helplessly in love, or lust, but he didn't really understand why people would want a girlfriend or boyfriend for that matter. It was all just so foreign to him. Besides he was only 14 for crying out loud! But ooh Centaurs. Yeah. He'd focus on that one. "Centaurs? I saw a unicorn in Hogsmeade... But it ran away," Sigh. He was even being quiet and everything!

Just as Zander was thinking of something to talk about in order to take attention away from his suspicious Bentley doodle... He realized that he had two containers full of delicious macaroni in his bag! PERFECT! He could kill two, or er three, birds with one stone! A) Eat delicious warm food to help get rid of cold weather without making self claustrophobic with clothes. B) Get Ancient Runes Homework done. C) And most importantly, distract Lux from finding out about his crush. PERFECT! It was full proof! Man, Zander should've been sorted into Ravenclaw. "Saaaay, er, Lux? Do you like macaroni? Forget about frostbite; Lux was starting to think that Zander was losing his mind due to the cold. First he was scrambling to put clothes back on, then in no time he was removing them again.... to stuff snow down his shirt?! "Are you okay? Or are you getting hot flashes?" Lux heard that older women got those, but she figured maybe boys could too. Zander certainly was acting like a woman with hot flashes as far as she understood it. "Do you want to go to the Healer?" Because even if he was feeling hot, it was very very cold outside, and stuffing snow down his shirt was not helping matters. It made her very very worried to see her new friend like this.

"Why don't you put your clothes back on again?" You know, so that he didn't get really SICK or DIE. As brave as Lions could be, they weren't immortal and Zander was as susceptible to the cold weather as anyone else. "You don't have to tell me who it is if you don't want to." It was totally fine, she was a very curious person, but she wasn't going to force him to tell her who he was crushing on. "Butterflies are amazing though. It's a sign that you are in love." Giggling, she knew that it was a wonderful feeling; she loved it! But maybe Zander wasn't a big fan of the feeling, which was totally fine. "Do you want to get over this girl? Instead of dating her?" Hogwarts has a poltergeist? That was news to her! Making a face, Lux was glad that Peeves had never shown up anywhere that she was. "I had no idea that we had one of those. I think I will try my best to stay away from him." Was he a fan of the Gryffindor Common Room or something? If so, no one had mentioned that to her as of yet. "I am terrified of ghosts, so I'm not sure how I would feel about a poltergeist." Yes, it might be silly to be afraid of the House Ghosts, but that did not stop her. Even though Tessa and Bay had tried to reassure her about them last term, she still wanted to hide whenever she even thought about Nearly-Headless Nick. And then there was that dead Professor who used to teach Astronomy or something. The only two ghosts she had ever seen, and hopefully it would stay that way.

It was no surprise to her that Zander would skip over the dates part, and that was totally fine with her because she didn't really want to talk about what she did with Bay on dates. Her personal life was personal after all. "I was with a few others in Hogsmeade and saw a mother and baby Unicorn walking down the street. I tried to feed the baby some candy, and the mother got mad. Professor Thompson came and helped us usher the Unicorns away from the street with some hay and grass." It was pretty interesting looking back on it, but she hated feeling guilty for what happened after she had taken Bay's potion. Meh. "I saw the Centaurs in the pathways. One of them came and wanted to speak to the Headmistress. He said that it's getting inhospitable in the forest so they were leaving it. He advised that we seek shelter too." Which she totally wasn't doing right now. Oops. "And then his friend joined and said that this third Centaur had been separated from the group or something. It was pretty interesting, and I learned not to address any of them as 'Mr. Centaur'." A good lesson in her book.

Lost in her thoughts about the Centaurs, it took a moment to register what he was asking her. Did she like macaroni? NO, SHE LOVED IT. "Does it have cheese with it? Because I love macaroni and cheese." It was one of her FAVOURITES and she could eat it ALL THE TIME.
