Well, this lesson had certainly taken an unexpected turn.
Hearing a scream, Lux was startled to see that one of the older boys had his pants on fire. Shocked, she watched as Professor Botros dealt with the situation in a way that the boy could have easily done. But then she reflected that when one was on fire they didn't necessarily keep their wits about them.
The punishments that the First Years received were kind of funny. They hadn't caused trouble on purpose, but Professor Botros was right: the torch never should have been lit. As it was, Lux couldn't really understand why the girl was being puniched since she hadn't been the one holding the lit torch. Maybe Botros was in a bad mood now.
Following instructions, she lit her torch using Incendio, and watched the flames curiously. The heat was definitely going to make her feel a little warmer. |
