When the Gryffindor Prefect handed out the torches, Cris took one and thanked her. Examining it, he noticed there were runes carved into it. Pretty neat indeed. So that was how it worked, Cris thought to himself.

Now he could start chanting the Galdr. Ensuring that the runestone and his wand were still touching and on top of each other, Cris began to chant.

"kenaz kenaz kenaz... ku ka ki ke ko.. kun kan kin ken kon.. ok ek ik ak uk... kaunnnnnnnnn," and as he did so, the runes on the torch began to glow.

But for how long? So Cris raised his hand to ask the question.

"Professor, how often do we need to chant the Galdr in order to keep the flame burning? Do we only need to do it just this one time and it'll stay lit or do we do it whenever we see the flame dying down?"
