Whoooaaahahaha. Such an enthusiastic ball this one, wasn't he? Botros smiled widely at the Slytherin kid. So considerate of him to remind the old professor of his name, too! Ab should make this a rule for every lesson.
"Sure, he'd love that!" He answered about the Crup, and watched the boy do a nifty charm to warm himself up. Aww poor thing, they were getting heat in a few alright.
"Indeed." Ab gave the seventh year a broad smile, suspecting that Odessa had already guessed which rune they were going to study today.
The prefect had the right to be bothered. "My knees would agree with you, Mr. Barrington." They were bothered alright.
"Hello AJ, nice to see you here again." He greeted the young girl, so kind of her to remind him of her name too.
Aaaah, she suspected something, too, hadn't she? Botros gave her the same broad grin he shared with Odessa. "Isn't it?"
"Evening, son. I'm great, thank you, hope you're well too." The polite Slytherin boy got a gentle shoulder pat as he passed the professor.
"I am, thank you." He gave the little girl a small smile as she walked over to sit down as well. The majority seemed to prefer standing by the wall. Interesting.
"Hello, dear. I'm great, thank you." He offered the Gryffindor a polite smile.
"Good evening, Ms. Petersfield." He gave the first year kid a gentle pat on the head when she passed him.
Now that the majority of class were here, Botros decided it was time to start this lesson. It was quite late already. Clearing his throat and giving the stony floor quite few clicks with his cane to get the attention of everyone, Ab started in a loud and clear voice.
"Today, we're going to focus on one rune. We're talking about the Elder Futhark alphabet as usual." He stood, his back to the double-doors, and leaned both his hands on his cane. "Which rune do you think we're going to explore thoroughly tonight? Take our surroundings in consideration before you answer. Only mention the name of the rune." He eyed some smartypants, he didn't want them to do the explaining for him.
ooc: - class is officially started, anyone who arrives after this post will be considered late and is subject to point deduction.
- Your charrie doesn't have to give a correct answer, participating in a lesson includes wrong (not illogical) answers.
- we'll resume in 14 hrs max.

He was still wearing a scowl. Cutty was uncomfortably cold and he'd had to reschedule everything on his trouble-making list of to-do in order to be there. Through chattering teeth, he pointed his wand toward the inside of his robes and said, "
V'v'ventus!" to try and get the hot air circulating through his robes. Relief washed over him as he was, indeed, warmed by this gesture enabling him to pay more heed the question that the old wizard was asking.
He had gotten something of a wolf-in-sheep-clothing vibe from Botros since the fiasco of last year. Yes. Suck everyone's youth, even if only temporarily and make it looks like an accident. Yes. Yes. That's what Cutty would've done were he in Botros's shoes. It caused the boy great admiration and wariness for his Professor. So what did that mean? Did it mean he'd be going with a Rune whose meaning could be closer to their current situation or something more sadistic like, "
Sowilo." Cutty spoke after raising up his hand.
