Zander would probably still be at the very start if he hadn't had Simon as a partner. The pair made a pretty excellent team and despite a few bumps along the way, the ride wasn't even thaaat bad.

Zander hopped off the carriage and immediately moved towards the horse. "Thanks, pal. We couldn't have done it without you," literally. Giving the horse a nice rub on the back he looked back and smiled at Simon. "Man, I wish I had some treats or something to feed him!" Then looking back towards the professors, the third year realized that they still had some time before everyone else finished. HEY, maybe they could help throw some snowballs too!?!?!

Aw shucks...

Simon flushed at Zander's compliment. He was terrible at taking compliments. He smiled shyly. Err... "Thanks mate! We made an awesome team," he explained. It was the truth. And disregarding all the bumpiness of the journey to get to the finish line and flying objects raining down on them as well as almost being squashed into a large ice mound, they had made an awesome team. They covered each other in aspects where the other was a little bit shaky on. He'd definitely want to team up with Zander again.

Now they had some time to kill before the other students made it over the finish line.

Also hopping off of the carriage, he followed Zander over to their Abraxon. He grinned as his partner thanked the horse. Seriously. Without the winged horse, they would have been back at the finish line getting impaled by flying objects.. Simon nodded. "Yes, he does deserve some nice treats or a nice warm blanket or something," he added. Poor horse. He must've been freezing in this weather.

Shoving his hands into his jacket, he stayed by his partner and the Abraxon as he watched more students race towards the finish line.
