*giggles* okay. Here are my generalizations XD

Gryffindors won't do the homework if someone says they HAVE to do the homework. They have to WANT to do it, but won't out of stubbornness if someone makes it out that they have no choice. If they think its their idea then they'll go all out and do their absolute best... if they end up doing it and feel forced then they'll just do the bare minimum because NYAHNYAH you can't tell THEM what to do.

Hufflepuffs will mostly do the homework, the ones that do will help each other happily, and they won't even get mad at the ones that don't, they'll just work extra hard to make up the difference. They know every point counts, so if someone gets one point that's okay since it still contributes to the house points overall.

Ravenclaws have so many other equally important things going on (setting fire to couches, starfishing, turning their common room into a swimming pool or a skating rink etc) that they'll probably leave theirs to the last possible minute, but they will get it done and they'll try and think outside the box and hit those extra credit points (and privately be really upset if the professor doesn't understand their sheer brilliance).

If a Slytherin does the homework, they'll do it to BE THE BEST. You've got a handful who will always go all out. Perfectionists. They like points because its proof. Then there's the few who do it out of self-preservation, so that they don't get in trouble for not doing it - these ones aren't worried about points in the slightest, they just don't want to feel the wrath of their peers, their HoH, or whichever professor the homework is for. Then there's the ones that do it because knowledge is power, and the more they learn and know, the stronger they'll be - they don't particularly care about points either. There are also ones that won't... but will say they did. Slytherins also are very willing to help their firsties, very hands on... but only if the firstie asks.

XD YMMV
