Perhaps if Millie had been more outgoing on her first train ride and not so self-absorbed in changing into her robes and reading, she might have met a few fellow first years before her arrival. But alas, that had not been the case. Besides reading Hogwarts, A History was important.
Glancing down at her fellow Ravenclaws she swallowed nervously and thought perhaps maybe ... just maybe ... taking her nose out of her book wouldn't have been such a bad idea. But before she could dwell too long on her lack of friendships, a boy with unruly curly hair and a receding hairline already, sat down next to her.
"Hi." Millie said shyly in return. "I'm Millie. And this ... this ceiling and castle, they're really something, aren't they?"
