She listened with interest as Angel told her about her background, and it was certainly something she didn't yet know about the girls background. School forms could only say so much... but this was nice and helped her to better understand the girls context. "Does your father still garden with you?" she asked, curiously. It would be nice if they did. That was one thing she never had experienced, though she was in no way disadvantaged with her mother and grandparents.

And look at that, they'd exchanged compliments and embarrassed each other in the process. At least they were even. Her cup, now empty, was placed back down on the table and forgotten, especially in light of their conversation. "With your enthusiasm, skills and hard work ethic, I don't see at all why you can't be one of my top students this year," she smiled. It was true. All of those things were taken into consideration. And perhaps she might have already been a bit biased, considering the connection they were forming. "You're a remarkable young lady, I can see that your peers are already lucky to have you."
