Lux hadn’t asked about anything, anyhow, and therefore it was simple to just let that whole topic get pushed behind them. Besides, it wasn’t like either of them had thrown up right then. That would have definitely caused awkwardness. “Okay then,” she replied with a smile, when the Hufflepuff had begun speaking again. “I’ll try to remember that. I’m not sure I have a favorite sandwich, so you know more there.” She’d honestly not thought much about sandwiches in general to decide if she had a favorite. They weren’t like other types of food, as far as she was concerned.

She’d meant it when she’d brought them up in relation to tea parties, though. Maybe it would be fun to have a tea party sometime before she left school, or even next summer when she wasn’t planning on forgetting her friends who hadn’t graduated with her. They could even invite Professor Bentley, if they asked her about how to cultivate a cookie tea. “I’m sure she would,” she agreed. If she’d known enough about tea herself she would have tried figuring it out on her own. Herbology wasn’t one of her worst subjects, after all, but it was better to ask an expert. She didn’t think they’d be encountering anything dangerous if they only asked about tea, although with the professor anything was possible. Either way, it was a plan, if only the two of them remembered having the idea later on in order to actually ask.

She had smiled again as Lux had given in to her logic regarding what had happened on the trip. “Well, anyway, determination was definitely useful when we’d all gotten caught in the mudslide,” she thought aloud, not even thinking that the younger girl may not have heard about all that had happened. “That’s good though. That you’re determined.” She remembered the girl telling her about her fear of flying and trying to get past it, anyhow, which was something she herself still struggled with. “Sure. I mean, I’d take you if I knew I was going anywhere,” she added. After graduation, of course, but as far as she knew she was staying in England. She hadn’t really thought about her plans yet, and at least some of that would depend on what Austin was doing. The possible traveling, at least, and Lux hadn’t argued her avoidance in explaining why he didn’t talk to people often either. Another plus. “Hopefully. Honestly, I haven’t talked to him that much since we got back to Hogwarts either.” She’d talked to him enough to know he was okay, and she’d find him later, too.
Awkwardness forgotten, Lux was happy that they had moved on to the next part of their conversation. "I'm not sure what my favourite food period is, because I love to eat so many different things." Why the kitchen could be called her second home. the house elves were definitely used to seeing her by now with the number of times she stopped by for food. "Turkey sandwiches are really nice too," she added as she remembered having some really nice ones here.

This conversation was really making her want to eat sandwiches, so it was good that there was a cookie tea conversation to distract her from it.

"Professor Bentley is so nice." Lux wondered if she should tell the woman that she was an Honorary Lion and Gryffinpuff. Maybe she could have both Professor Hadley AND Professor Bentley as Head of House; of course the ladder being more in name than anything else.

Nod. She had heard a little about the mudslide as well as other happenings on the trip. Of course she would grasp things better if she had gone herself, but it was fine by her that she hadn't. As much as she wished she was old enough to have participated, Lily was right that there might be other opportunities in the future. "I hope that if I get to go on a school trip, I'll have an adventure without the risk of dying." Lux loved having fun, but she didn't want to die. "And I would love to go somewhere with you. We could have a nice trip with loads of people!" That could be so much fun, even if all the did was something small.

Lily hadn't seen her boyfriend much since term started? Honestly, Lux was a little surprised at that. Of course she didn't spend all her time with Bay, but they still saw each other a lot either in classes or hanging out together around the school. "So you guys aren't in the same House I take it." Unless they were and just missed seeing each other around in the Common Room?
