"You're pretty confident in my potion making abilities," Caleb noted with a grin as he took her cup and gulped it down. Yeah, now they had to sit, just like she said. He plopped down next to her and waited...when were they supposed to start? He had missed the bit when he said how long it would take to kick in. Maybe he'd FEEL it...
"So, feel like you're ready to go?" he asked with a smile. He didn't feel very different - he felt sort of the same. Maybe Sophie's potion wasn't working...he DID feel like he was wide awake though. That was good right?
Sophie moved her tongue around in her mouth as she let the taste of the potion set in.
"Tastes like...metal," she observed. She was started to feel more and more refreshed, so when Caleb asked if she was ready to go, she stood up with a firm and confident nod.
"Ready to win, little brother," she said.
She turned her seat toward him and placed her right arm, elbow down, on the table. She nodded for him to follow along.
"Just waiting on you," she added. It was only then that she started to think that Caleb REALLY might be able to beat her. She guessed it all depended on the potion, though. After all, Professor Culloden could lift a CAR after taking a dose of his potion!
