Sophie wasn't paying attention very well for once, too occupied with watching the others around her and their seemingly endless struggles to stay put on their tilted seats. She had found the perfect way to shift her weight and stay up well, so she was enjoying the entertainment of seeing the others who just kept sliding bit by bit and straightening themselves back out. She was listening enough to silently answer that her favorite season had been any one but winter, when the snow fell and kept her from her proper running routine, but Flamsteed didn't need to know that. He probably wouldn't have put a check mark by all three to compensate for her indecisiveness. Toby's answer had made her awfully happy, though, and... made her certain that summer was her official favorite now, too, thinking back to all the fun they had hanging out and terrorizing Fuller and Thompson.

Yeah. Summer was definitely the best.

West's answer of 'Quidditch season' made her a little mopey, then, and got her lost in thoughts of what could have been this term - the professor had gone on a rant, though, and Sophie tuned back into what he was saying early on enough in his spiel to learn something. A season could last for seven years on Saturn but more than forty years on Neptune? Merlin. That was no fun.

Oh. Question time, then, and everyone's hands went up so fast - well, Sophie'd just coast for a little while. Everyone had their own creative answers on the matter, most of them variations of the same thing. To show that she was paying attention now, though, and not get a look of why aren't you participating, Miss Brown? from Flamsteed, Sophie raised a lazy hand, laughter bubbling in her throat and a smile on her face to prepare him for her lighthearted answer, "Its inclination to be cool." Get it? Geeeeeeeeet it? Inclination? The Earth's tilt? Cool, like how the Earth was all sorts of rad, but also like how parts of the Earth were cooler dependent upon the Earth's tilt and the amount of sunlight the different hemispheres received?

...No? Probably just her? Okay.
