The Last of Her Kind Adrienne had had a long day, and she was ready to settle down with a good book and some hot cocoa in bed, not to deal with Flamsteed's eccentricities. Unfortunately, it seemed like the world was conspiring against her, and she halfheartedly brushed the lint roller up and down her sleeves, adjusting the way she was holding her painfully heavy bag as she did so. She honestly thought the whole thing was stupid- it's not like she was particularly linty, or furry, and the only reason she complied at all was because she didn't feel like having to be forced to go back after she'd already sat down, something she wouldn't put past the Astronomy professor.
Also, how thick would you have to be to try to use it as a hair brush?
She looked around for an empty seat, and in her scanning of the classroom, Adrienne noticed that there were an awful lot of people falling out of their chairs. As in, a disproportionate amount. She mumbled a quick, "Evening, Professor," in Flamsteed's direction, and gingerly sat herself down at a desk near the far end of the semicircle. As she relieved her aching shoulders and set her bag down, she noticed with a hint of annoyance how wobbly her chair was. Ugh, as if she needed something else to bother her during this class! A scowl settled onto Adrienne's face and she tightly crossed both her arms and legs, trying to ignore the way her chair moved every time her weight shifted slightly.
