"I owled you, but you never repl-" To her surprise, she was almost immediately cut off by a biting remark from the blonde. Bristling, Adrienne opened her mouth to reply in kind, but instead took a deep breath and a long, slow, blink, and slouched down into her seat a bit.

"Dude, you can just sit on my lap, no big deal. Or we can make space if you prefer." She scooted over and patted the seat next to her, inviting Tora to join them. She didn't want to get into a fight with her best friend on not even the very first day of school. "And hey, there's no reason to get all," she wiggled her fingers at the sky while making a weird "eeeeeh" noise, "you know. I just got here myself."
