Derek couldn't help but think how silly all of the Ministry people were for not having tried that before. Seriously??? Although... they must have tried it, because come on... come on.

He watched as his boss invited people to join him to go down and, as much as he wanted to go back into his lab, Derek was not getting in that tiny phone booth with that many people. That meant touching people and yeah, no thanks. Disgusting. He was going to wait right there.

Besides, if those people going down needed any sort of help from the outside, they wouldn't need to wait for ages to get some help.
