Gingerly patting the girl's back, she sighed and swallowed. "It'll be okay. You'll see." And then there was a head boy there too. Was he jealous because he wanted a hug too? Group hug, yea? Hardly listening to what he asked, because it didn't matter, Fina reached towards him and pulled him to the badger hug.
What did he ask now? Eh... whatever. Quote:

Well, of course it would. But it would also be different. Everything would be different and this made Ella feel sad because she liked this. She loved Hogwarts and these people and it was her second home. So sorry but she was sad. Just all the sad feels right now, okay? And she was going to miss Hadley tons.
She was vaguely aware of someone else being pulled into a hug and she'd heard Alec's voice so she was assuming it was him. If he needed to talk to Hadley, she was going to go. She didn't want to get in the way and besides, she was probably going to cry soon if she didn't get out of here.
And so the Head Girl pulled away eventually and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. She then looked up at her Head of House and said quietly. "I'm going to miss you, Professor. Thanks for always being there for us. Thanks for believing in me. Thanks for...being you. I couldn't have asked for a better person to lead our house. Just...t-thanks." As soon as her voice cracked, the eighteen year old knew she should abandon ship. She quickly swallowed the lump in her throat, gave Alec a forced smile, and then darted from the room. Before he knew what was going on, Alec felt himself being pulled into the hug too. Not that he minded. He responded with wrapped his arms around the Head Girl and the Head of House and giving them a big hug in return. None of that one armed nonsense. A proper hug because... they probably all needed it, yeah?
Somewhere deep inside of him, his twelve year old self was fanboying happy that he had gotten the chance to hug Hadley.
... And Ells was going? ... Erm...? He blinked over at her and had opened his mouth to say that she could stay but... she was gone. Rather quickly too. Frowning a little, he continued looking over at the door where she had rushed out of before shaking his head. No... he'd just... find her later. See if she was okay.
Right now... Hadley. This was going to be hard. Taking a deep, shuddering breath, Alec launched into his story, "Erm... so hey! I, erm... I got you something." He held out the box wrapped in gold with a black ribbon tied around it. Inside the box there was a little stuffed toy in the shape of a badger, a packet of peppermint chocolates and a book called A Slice of Pi, All the Math You Forgot To Remember From School. Perfect, right? "The items reminded me of you and I... I thought they'd be great gifts. If you don't like it, you don't... have to keep it."
Now onto his second part. Another deep breath. "So... I guess I'm just saying thanks. Thanks for the past seven years." Most of which he couldn't remember. Shame. "You've been a really great Head of House, you know and... I couldn't have asked for a better one. I've learnt a lot from you; not just about Airthmancy and Muggle Studies but also what it takes to be a Hufflepuff, you know? Thanks for just... being there. And for believing in me. I really appreciate it and... I'm sorry for not mentioning that before." Funny how things like graduation brought these things up.
... And... he was rambling. Probably talking her ear off too. "So yeah, just thanks. Keep being awesome, yeah?"
Yet another deep breath was taken before he concluded in a small voice, "I'm really going to miss you."
