As Sophie waited to see if the vine would turn into the rope she needed, she quickly glanced behind her. The Acromantula was gaining on her, and she'd dropped that Shield Charm she'd produced earlier. If the vine spell didn't work, she'd be left unprotected.

Turning back around, she watched as the vine strengthened into a rope. She reached up and tugged on it a bit to make sure it wouldn't snap on her. It seemed sturdy enough, so she grabbed on to it, stepped back to gain some speed, then ran forward. When she reached the ravine, she lifted her legs off the ground and let the rope carry her across.

She only panicked briefly, but as the other side came into close view, she released a breath she hadn't realized she was holding in.
