Something had truly happened to her. He'd had no idea she too was a victim of this mess.
Erik cleared his throat to signal his presence and really tried to keep his expression from appearing too shocked and pleased at the sight of the ancient woman. "Excuse me, Madame President?" he addressed Cassandra Branxton directly. "I have vhe contact information of Abraham Botros' personal Healer...I believe it vould be beneficial to contact St. Mungo's for vheir professional opinion here." He stepped forward and handed her the slip of paper with the Healer's name.
But...the wheels were already turning in Erik's mind. They would definitely need to shut down the school if the Headmistress died, and how wonderful would it be if that happened? He nearly smiled at the idea.
Personal Healer?! The man had a
personal Healer?
Well, just pin a rose on his nose, Sophie thought to herself.

What sort of affairs did her 16-year-old son have, anyway? A girlfriend he was overly attached to, a crup he adored, a burgeoning interest in Quidditch and photography that he'd never get to see blossom into a career, and a very very sad family he'd be leaving behind.
"No, that doesn't work," Cassandra tossed her head and paced the office. "We will empty Mungo's of Healers. We'll empty every hospital, and bring them all here. We will sell off the furniture, again, and the china, and even the blamed Quidditch hoops. I don't care what we have to do, but we will keep looking, because those children are NOT going to die before they even got to live. My son is not going to die." Pause. "Annie, you are not going to die."
She looked briefly at Erik as he entered, although she was all stirred up and not willing to roll over and acquiesce so easily. "One Healer cannot possibly be enough, but she's a good place to start. I expect you to rally your associates and continue seeking any leads. Anyone who doesn't help can be replaced by those who actually care about children." Another hair toss.
Official. New. Hero. Right. Here.
Mo's mom had spoken, and it was like...THE WORD. You know, all official and stuff. Sophie just stared at her in awe before clearing her throat and glancing away. She bet Mo had to walk a really thin line at home. If she didn't, she imagined his mom going all Molly Weasley on him.
Sophie's next thought was--
"Nooo! Don't take the Quidditch hoops!", but she refrained from saying that out loud, of course.
What she did say out loud was something she had discovered only a mere day ago. She hadn't even had time to bring it up to anybody yet.
"I--..." Pause. Mo's mom had SCARED HER. Anyway...
"I was wondering if anybody thought the De-Aging Potion might work? My grandmother taught it in one of her Potions classes," she said. She guessed they would know that the potion reversed the aging process. It might not be long term, but at least they could all take a dose until something else was worked out.
