Emily wasn't in a hurry. No. She was at her leisure, moving through her Department gracefully, checking that the proper communications had been made and that the correct procedures were in place to be followed. At least she wouldn't be the one filling out the paperwork. That was tedious stuff.

Entering the section of the underground dedicated to their holding area, Emily's gaze first scanned Bennett and then settled on Carter. "I hope we're treating our guest with the respect he deserves," she mused, wondering what it was that she had missed in her absence from the group. And now where was the redhead? Had she made it this far? Had she passed through reception and their checks? She needed speaking to and sorting out... ain't just nobody got to glimpse their holding cells without a thorough check themselves. She wasn't convinced the woman even ought to be here as of yet. But considering there wasn't much to see in the bleak tunnels, it was no skin off her nose, and if anything De La Garza might soon have a cell companion. How Mariel would feel about him sharing a cell with another woman, she didn't know, nor did she care. "Bennett, if you're indeed pressing charges, see to the paperwork," she added, holding out the manila folder she had collected on her way over. He knew he ought not be in De La Garza's presence for this, right?

"Carter, perhaps you could make yourself useful and take down Mr. De La Garza's version of events," she held out another folder. And it went without saying that smooshing the mans face into the floor wouldn't get them anywhere. So less man-touching, and more procedure following please. Yes.
