Fion was getting bored. Ned was trying to charm Vianna, Victor Airi, and she was off by herself with her drink. Which was actually getting low, so she’d signaled for the bartender to get her a refill. If she was going to be bored, she may as well have a drink while she was suffering. Even the dementor was getting more action than she was, if the frustration she sensed from Ned told her anything. She’d been half tempted to offer up an answer to Vianna’s question, just for amusement purposes, yet before she could, the girl had wandered off into the crowd still on the dance floor, followed by the Slytherin, and she’d been left with the only slightly entertaining sight of Airi turning into a puddle under Victor’s skills. Honestly, it was possibly the first time she’d actually seen that in action, but that wasn’t enough to make her feel any less bored.

She’d forgotten about the twin that Victor had tricked into drinking a glass of firewhiskey, after the bloody toe had gotten fixed. There hadn’t been enough for her to bother to continue paying attention to him after all the dramatics had stopped. Although, as she’d taken another drink of her refilled glass, she’d felt someone stumble into her and reflexively lowered her hand to the sword scabbard at her hip even before she had lowered the glass. Someone was going to rethink that, although she’d rolled her eyes at the wail that had followed a faint mumble from near her booted feet. Okay, maybe she wouldn’t hex him, or see how good she actually was with the sword. “Depends on how optimistic you are,” she drawled, her dark eyes moving down to look at Robert hyperventilating on the floor. She’d stepped back slightly too, just so he didn’t get nerd tears on the shoes. “You’re drunk.” She might be stating the obvious, but there wasn’t much else to say. At least, not until she found an escape.
