"He's doing splendid," she replied casually. Then with a scowl, "How do you know my brother?" And who did she think she was to bring him up right now?!
Sophie could tell the girl was more than pleased Sophie didn't immediately have a cure. BAHHH. Who DID have the cure anyway? Sophie needed that cure, too. Sophie watched as Beverly patted the wand, secured in her pocket, then froze as realization dawned on her.
Brother?! WHOA. Sophie had actually thought he was a cousin, but this was even better.
"Oh, he's just dined at my grandparents' house some," Sophie answered. Only once, but Beverly didn't need to know that. Also, Sophie hadn't even been there, but Beverly didn't need to know that either.
Anddddd...
"He's pretty involved with my aunt," Sophie finally said.
"Pretty cool to think he might be Uncle Kennedy one day, eh?" Sophie and Beverly were practically COUSINS...or something.
