Something was wrong.
The branches hit the walls strongly rattling them, and bringing one down...
... the first human and the closest was lifted up high over the ground from the ankle, the other branches were heading towards other humans. THEY did this, evidently.
The wall went BOOM as the old willow knocked them down and Cutty looked directly at Beverly Wayne, thinking she'd discovered a way to blow it up somehow. By the time he'd felt the viney branches wrap around his ankle he was already upside down and looking quite offended. The idea that he might be swallowed whole or die by sheer butt-whoopin' did cross his mind, but ...erm...thankfully? Cutty had sociopathic tendencies and he had problems processing anxiety.
Still, hanging upside-down by ones ankles in the middle of Ancient Runes class was not his idea of a good time.

Oops.
Instinctively Botros shouted, "Immobulus!" And the branches went still. He slowly began to breathe again, and a chuckle escaped him. WHEW. How 'bout that for a adrenaline rush, huh? It felt amazing when your heart was young enough to not die from those.
Also. Mordaunt was still hanging upside down over their heads. Botros looked up, "ARE YOU ALRIGHT UP THERE?" He was going to bring him down, of course, but just in case the boy was... already dead.
Immobulus, Immobulus, Im, Im, Im, Im... . Cutty chanted inwardly as his wand responded to the natural law of gravity and escaped from his pocket. Cutty's hand reached for it and briefly caught it, but it escaped and landed on the ground with a soft padding sound.
"
YEAH, PROFESSOR. I JUST WANT MY WAND BACK." OMG, Cutty Mordaunt you are so rude! Not even thanking the Professor for saving your life! Ugh! Punk! "
I GUESS I WASN'T FAST ENOUGH TO ESCAPE THE WHOMPING WILLOW. I SHOULD PRACTICE MY RUNNING." And then he did so, but his legs couldn't move so his arms were swinging to the front and the back of his body, elbows bent and giving him a rather earnest and determined looking gesticulation when compiled with his (somewhat) fake panting breaths (because he was old and that was tiring). Ah, there was that glibness.
