She was bringing lunch, and he was happy to replace the vampire nest cafeteria with an outdoor lunch with a beautiful redhead.

He spotted her sitting in the park even before he walked in, and his spirit was immediately boosted. His mouth stretched into a wide grin and he picked up his pace, jumping onto the grass and no-walking zone just to come from behind her and surprise her. His boots got into the mud, though, ruining his attire and he felt a little stupid for going this route after only a few seconds from deciding to do it. Merlin, he was thirty nine, he wasn't a teenager.

"Afternoon, love." He hugged her ~~head~~ around the neck and placed a kiss on the top of her head before turning around and taking a seat next to her on the bench. His mud-ful shoes leaving mud prints behind him. Ugh. He gave them a disdainful look.
