"Come on Vianna, it isn't all that big of a deal," Ned said, trying to assuage the young woman. Ned really had no idea why Vianna and Airlia were being so uppity, they barely knew Cormic, any of them, so what did it matter? Simply put, it didn't.
"It is not child's play! The greatest Wizard in history nearly died in there three times, and excuse me, but I doubt ether of you are better Wizards then Harry Potter," Airi said, astounded by Vince's and Ned's arrogance, she had never heard the boys talk so foolishly before.
Ned nodded at Vince's words, they could totally handle themselves i the forest or any other wasteland they were thrusted into. "Yeah, Vi, we've got skills," The Slyhterin smirked.
At Vianna's words Ned didn't bat an eye, the Slytherin was all about challenges, and was far too prideful to back down from even the worst of them. With his trademark broad grin, Ned leaned forward, looking Vianna straight in her beautiful blue eyes. "Are you daring us Vincenzi?" Ned playfully, almost charmingly asked.
Vince merely dismissed poor Airi’s panic with a wave of his hand. He wasn’t interested in history lessons or scoldings at the moment, his mind was on better things: taking notes to mock Cormic when the boy woke up from his coma, and going along with whatever stupid dare his little sister was trying to set him and Ned up for.
“Airi’s right,” said Vianna, but even she could be a little foolish at times. Though she agreed with Airi’s statements, she was more interested in teaching the boys a lesson than she was in scolding them, a decision which sometimes proved as stupid as the boys’ actions themselves.
When Vianna announced that she was daring them into the Shrieking Shack, Vince’s blue eyes widened and he pulled back slightly from the table. OOOHOHOHO, ohhh no, oh no siree. He’d heard stories about this place. The forest was one thing - he’d snuck around there plenty of times before, though of course never deep enough to find himself in any real trouble. But the Shack? That was a completely different story. Thieves and murderers hid there! Not to mention it was usually accompanied by a generous number of unfriendly ghosts.
“Sorry Vi, but now you’re overdoing it.”
Vianna wasn’t listening to her brother anymore, as her blue eyes were locked on Ned. Secretly, she didn’t want Vince to go on the mission anyway because despite being a stupid git, he was still her brother. Ned, on the other hand, she didn’t mind giving a little scare. So, at the Slytherin’s question, Vianna narrowed her eyes and nodded her head. “That’s right, Hall. This is a dare.”
