To anyone watching, however, it probably looked like a father dancing with his daughter. Or grandfather with a granddaughter. Or GREAT grandfather with...well...you get the picture.
When the music changed it took him a few moments to register the new beat before he subconsciously pulled Medea a little closer to him and leaned his cheek against her hair, humming what parts of the song he could remember into her ear.
"I need you noooooow." She honestly didn't see the rising color upon his cheeks, what with all the lights and shades of pinks and reds in the great hall as it was. And...she wasn't particularly focused upon his cheeks as much as the still crystal blue color of his eyes. And then hands, his and her own. And then dancing.
Swaying to the music, she was subconsciously aware of the change in beat, and the little tug closer to the astronomer professor. A twitch of a smile had appeared, no doubt having gone unnoticed, but the singing...the singing close to her ear...was all but missed. A breath of a faint giggle escaped her as she smiled warmly, leaning her head softly upon his shoulder. Even with the elder age, he still sang wonderfully.
Reluctantly though, with the upcoming upbeat song, she lifted her head and glanced to the stage. Oh? Really...upbeat. Her finger started to tap a little to the music upon Airey's arm before she looked to him. "Do you vont to get something to drink...or something?" They didn't haaaaave to staaaaay. |
