And she wasn't going to try to make her. Alice said nothing in response, ignoring the pleading and apologetic looks. They didn't really mean anything, did they? And she didn't want to talk about it with Dora anyway. Wasn't worth it or whatever. If her friend wanted to be oblivious, she could be.
Letting herself be tugged, she tried to listen to what was on the sound system over the buzz of chattering students. 'Something' by the Beatles, it sounded like. It was one she liked... but Alice still didn't dance, so she just stood there and looked at the Ravenclaw.
Dora was okay with the one dance too, or at least she was until the dance actually started and Alice was acting very much indifferent to the dancing or anything really, more so than before. She looked back at her best for a moment before dropping her hand and deflating a bit.
"I don't want the dance anymore."
