She was sure there'd be a few and it just reminded her why she didn't let her guard down for just anyone. That was a lapse in judgement, even if he wasn't just anyone. But next week would be better. Or at least she'd remain optimistic.

Quiet was what she wanted on her day off, though she did feel a craving to be out of the house, and those thoughts led her to the city park. It had been a while since she had visited the park and appreciated its simplistic beauty, but it seemed that was just what she needed today. Mariel was thankful that it was slightly on the warmer side for February and her cloak kept her quite comfortable as she neared the pond at the center. Finding a quiet bench nearby, the brunette dropped into it and looked out at the still water as she let any heavy thoughts drift away.

Even though it was his day off work that didn't mean that Dmitry could slack off. This week he'd gone a bit crazy with the take away, being back at work had left him too tired to cook most nights and so he'd been ordering in. That meant that now that he had a day off he needed to do some serious exercise. He'd decided that the park would be the perfect place to do so. He couldn't really get lost there and he figured he'd have a beautiful view to look at as he ran.

Dmitry had been running for about an hour now, having done a few laps of the park and was starting to get a bit exhausted. He'd probably ran for long enough now to counteract at least some of the junk he'd ate during the week. Or at least he hoped it would. When he reached the pond again Dmitry slowed his pace, coming to a complete stop near a bench and starting to stretch out his muscles. The last thing he wanted was for his legs to cramp up later, or to be so sore he would barely be able to walk later in the day. He'd had the happen once and it was quite an annoyance.

"Marial," he said brightly when he noticed the woman had come to sit on the bench he'd been standing next to. He decided not to move closer to her though since while he was fit, and it wasn't all that warm here he was still a little bit sweaty.
