Jamie was the next to join the group and after a slightly confused look into his rather pretty face, Anthony offered an amused smile. "It's lovely to see you in such high spirits...considering our surroundings. Please, do take a seat, James." Indicating the padded chairs just across from his desk, he flashed his gaze back to the gathering as a whole. The remaining employees were trickling in and with a final nod (and wave of his wand), the door was magicked shut. It was a habit, you know. He didn't like discussing important matters with the door wide open.

Anyway, it was time to have a heart to heart.

"So, I can imagine you're all a bit...confused as to why we're now based out of an entirely different location than Whitehall." It was safe to assume they all wanted an explanation in that respect, yes? "As of right now, we are unable to enter the Ministry building via any of the entrances. This includes the floo system, the toilets, the phone booth, apparation. None of those things are working as of right now. So, while it is being investigated...and for our safety, the departments have found new areas to carry out their daily business." Anthony was being straight up with this information, he knew...but he was not one to beat around the bush (to use another muggle phrase). "We have been fortunate in that we aren't actively working near muggles, as most of the other departments are. So, we can function freely in this space and perform our jobs to the full extent of our abilities."...basically meaning that they didn't need to worry about using magic and non-magic folk busting them...

He paused, rubbing his finger across his top lip in thought. "Yes, this place was an Asylum for the insane."...to answer Victor's question from before. "...in every capacity of what Asylums were back in those days."...to be delicate for Ferris' sake. "There are many rooms that have not been renovated due to time and man hours, labor costs, and other things of that nature...but the rooms that are designed for our purposes are completely redone, cleared and cleaned, polished; carrying all new equipment and furnishings."

His face momentarily took on a hard look. Hard...because the department head was concerned how they were going respond to this news. Would they revolt against him? Would they refuse to work? Boycott? It was stressful thinking about such things..."Do any of you have any questions thus far?"
